About Me

Hi, I’m Patricio Argenta R. Battani. My career has always been about helping people feel seen, supported, and cared for—whether in a clinic, a shelter, or a salon. Over the past 30 years, I’ve worked in public health, HIV services, and gender-affirming care, always with a focus on building systems that welcome everyone.

I hold a Master of Public Health from Indiana University, with a concentration in Social, Community, and Behavioral Health. Alongside this, I pursued coursework in Gender Studies and trained with the Kinsey Institute, deepening my understanding of sexuality, gender, and identity as vital parts of health and well-being.

My undergraduate degree is in Organizational Psychology, a field that explores how people function within workplaces, teams, and systems. This background gave me a strong foundation in understanding group dynamics, leadership, and the ways organizational culture impacts both employees and clients. It also taught me how to design environments that support well-being, reduce bias, and foster inclusion—skills I now apply in healthcare, esthetics, and community settings to create spaces where transgender and gender expansive people feel welcomed and respected.

I am a Certified Clinical Electrologist (CCE) through the Society for Clinical and Medical Hair Removal (SCMHR). This certification represents the highest standards in permanent hair removal, grounded in science and clinical practice. It ensures I’m trained not only in the technical aspects of electrolysis, but also in safety, ethics, and the medical considerations that make this service an essential part of gender-affirming care.

I am also a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), certified through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. This training sharpened my ability to respond in moments of crisis, stay grounded under pressure, and provide care that balances technical skill with human compassion.

In addition, I am a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, trained through the Six Sigma Academy Amsterdam (SSAA). This certification reflects advanced skills in process improvement, efficiency, and systems change—tools I use to strengthen programs, reduce barriers, and build organizations that serve communities more effectively.

Bringing together public health, organizational psychology, esthetics, and emergency medicine, my work is guided by a simple belief: when we create spaces where people feel safe, affirmed, and seen, we don’t just change appearances. We change lives.
