About Me
For more than 30 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of public health, HIV services, and gender-affirming care. I’ve trained healthcare professionals, directed clinics, and supported communities in creating spaces where transgender and gender expansive people feel affirmed and celebrated.
As a licensed electrologist and owner of a successful spa, I also bring hands-on experience from the beauty industry. I know firsthand what it takes to build client trust, run an affirming practice, and deliver care that is both technical and compassionate.
I wrote Transcendent: A Guide for Estheticians Embracing All Gender Identities to fill a gap I saw in the beauty industry, a lack of guidance for professionals who want to serve transgender and gender expansive clients with skill, compassion, and authenticity.
My mission is simple: to help beauty and wellness professionals celebrate authenticity and redefine beauty, one client interaction at a time.
